We have written this mountain property buyers checklist to help you make a more informed decision about Bryson City/Swain County area real estate. Naturally we believe that the more you know the better we look, so here are some of the things you should look for when shopping for for a home site in the Smoky mountains.

Altitude and views - Wildcat Knob is situated between 3000 and 3800 ft. with spectacular views rarely found elsewhere. Most of the lots are secluded. After all this is one reason many people come here.

Price -  Prices range from under $45,000 to $95,000. As the economy begins to turn these prices will increase. We are priced well below many developments and they have much less to offer.

Roads - We have wider roads- all county approved.

Larger tracts for privacy - most from 2 - 6 acres. Compare our prices!

Location - close to medical, shopping, recreation and entertainment, yet still secluded.

We're close to both Bryson City (7 miles) and Franklin (where building supplies are delivered from). Fire Department 2 miles. Hospital 7 miles. We're also just a short drive from water sports, fishing, hunting and Harrah's casino. Liquor is served at many of our local restaurants.

Deed restrictions to protect your property value -No mobile homes, Min. 1000sf homes, etc.
